ABOUT

Joel has two design degrees; a BFA from the American Intercontinental University and a MFA from California State University, Long Beach. He began his college education at Cal Poly, Pomona studying Ornamental Horticulture, finishing his general education before moving into Design. He is also a Certified in the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.

 

Joel has spent 5 years owning and operating a Landscape Design Business in Palm Springs, where he developed a love and vast knowledge for Desert Plants and California Native Plants. While in Palm Springs Joel worked for the Desert Garden Center, LLC were he managed the outdoor lighting and irrigation departments. In August of 2007, He started AnandaScapes LLC here in San Diego and has designed over 100 plans.

 

Joel is an active member of the Water Conservation Garden, the San Diego Botanical Gardens, Pacific Horticulture Society, and California Native Plant Society
